What's it like living in PUERTO RICO?

I grew up in Old San Juan and it was really nice, but it's way too commercial now. I dont like it as much now that so many tourists are coming to the area. Plus, unless you have lived here forever, the home prices have gone up 50% over the past 5 years. How crazy is that.
